Junior Academy

Garon Park has a keen focus on Junior Golf and we have a structured and safe environment for youngsters to take up the game and learn to play golf. Our facilities offer the ideal atmosphere for new young golfers.

Firstly, we take junior wellbeing very seriously and parents and juniors can be assured that we adhere to every recognised child safety practice. All of our PGA instructors are fully CRB checked as are our Junior Organisers.

We have a Junior Welfare Officer on the Premises Monday to Friday. Garon Park Golf Complex is a safe place for young people.

Garon Park uses the Golf Foundation's Junior Golf Passport Programme (www.golf-foundation.org) for those youngsters new to golf.

The programme covers the five core elements of the game: -Putting, Short Game, Long Game, Playing and the Golfers Code. For each of these levels there are a series of targets that get progressively more challenging.

The programme is both structured and interactive making learning the game enjoyable and fun.

'Passport' Lesson Times: Saturday morning Junior Golf Passport Lessons (open to all) from 10.15am to 11.00am and Saturday afternoon Junior Golf Passport Lessons (open to all) from 2.00pm to 3.00pm. Cost per person, per session £5.00.

Junior Membership: Our junior membership is tremendous value at just £99.00 (in VAT). This fee covers 12 months 'club' membership and full 7 day playing rights on the main 27 hole course and the 9 hole par three course. There is a comprehensive schedule of junior competitions and events run by our dedicated junior organisers, especially in school holidays.

Tuesday evening junior 'Roll-up' evening: Consists of professional instruction, followed by competition play on either the par three or main course, followed by light refreshments in the clubhouse (nominal charge per head).

Individual lessons: One to one junior golf lessons are available 7 days per week (pre-booking is advisable).
